I have a confession to make…
The first time I ever attempted a heart quilt block... it looked more like a potato than a heart. 🥔😂
I was so sure I had followed the pattern correctly, but when I laid it out on my sewing table, I just stared at it, tilting my head, squinting, hoping somehow the shape would magically transform. Spoiler alert: it did not.
But you know what? I kept going. I adjusted, tried again, and eventually, that little potato-heart became a beautifully stitched reminder that quilting is about progress, creativity, and a whole lot of love. 💕
And that’s exactly what we’re doing this month in February’s Quilting Your Legacy Challenge!
💖 The Theme? HEART BLOCKS!
This month, we’re stitching love into every project by creating heart blocks in any style you want! Half-square triangles, straight-line piecing, improv, applique—you name it.
As long as you’re cutting and sewing fabric back together to make a heart, it counts!
